Children have access to water play and sand, painting easel, creative table with a variety of different resources for the child to develop their creative side. There is a home corner and role-play area with dressing –up clothes. There is a vast range of different construction equipment, puzzles, and books for the children to look at and read. There is a range of resources to encourage writing and a computer for the children to master early ICT skills. The children also take part in regular cooking, PE and music sessions.
The Nursery makes use of the picturesque outside space, going on nature walks, playing on the outside equipment and there is a small area for growing plants.
The School on the Green
The School on the Green provides a broad and balanced curriculum and aims to work in partnership with parents to build on what the child already knows and is able to do. Activities are planned around the Early Learning Goals, which set out the goals children should reach by the time they enter Year One in main stream school. A copy of the Early Learning Goals can be found in the reception area and cover the six areas of learning.
